Okay everyone, progress has been going somewhat slow, but overall I'm almost done with level 2. I put a lot of work into the detail of level 2.
Now, please note this. Unlike in most of my other games, where I tend to jam a bunch of enemies into large encounters for the player to get a massive adrenaline rush and fight for 10 seconds, I'm trying to focus on smaller encounters.
By that, I mean I'm trying to expand my experience. Usually, whether I make a custom map in Halo CE or CoD WaW, or make a game in FPS Creator, I always tend to make the player face a lot of enemies. In this situation, instead of having the player getting pinned by enemies or having 5 v 10 fights, I'm focusing more on smaller encounters. The first level encounters are the following:
Encounter 1: 3 v 2
Encounter 2: 3 v 6
Encounter 3: 1 v 2
Encounter 4: 4 v 5
1st number is player and allies, 2nd number is enemies.
In the last game on the first level, the player encounters were these:
Encounter 1: 9 v 4
Encounter 2: 2 v 2
Encounter 3: 1 v 2
Encounter 4: 1 v 2
Encounter 5: 9 v 12
As you can see, Best Friend Finale will be focused on some smaller battles, rather than the larger ones the previous games have been focused around.
I hope that everyone enjoys this game, for I am trying to make it more stable and more fun for every encounter. (The second level has a little framerate drop, but overall I think it's okay looking).
Also, on different news, me and my friend have started another small project, which means I am now focusing on three game projects at once. Boarded progress will slow down, not to a halt, but will slow. Best Friend Finale will be finished shortly, I hope to release it by the end of February.
Thank your for your time.
